I was looking for a late night snack in the area and stumbled on special noodle. It is inside the mall area across from 99 Ranch and they are one of the few things open after 10p.m. There were lots of things I was interested in on the menu but I saw a picture of the beef wrap and it looked like they used a scallion type wrap for the exterior so that sealed the deal for me. I ordered at the kiosk but then it told me to go see a cashier to pay. I thought the price was a bit high for a wrap but I was hungry and my choices were limited. It took about 10 minutes while I waited at their seats in the exterior of the restaurant, like more in the mall area, but an employee brought it out to me. I was pleasantly surprised. It was more like the size of two wraps and upon seeing it, I realized it was actually quite a good deal for the price. The portion is very large. I could not finish it on my own. The taste was also really good. It is a simple wrap but the flavors were delicious. Beef, veggies, sauce and that crisp scallion exterior. I would order this again and again. Considering the convenience, value and quality, there is no other option but to give Special Noodle 5 stars. I look forward to coming back and trying more of the food they have to offer in the future.

Came here twice for take out. It is conveniently located in the pacific east mall. The ambiance is quite nice, very clean, well decorated, nice "outside" seating area with a small fence and potted plants. the food is delicious, it is what really shines here, the beef wrap and the pan soup dumplings are the stand outs for me, but I haven't had anything bad here. While I didn't eat in, the service was very polite and friendly when paying for and picking up the food. I will surely come by again in the future and maybe try some noodle dishes, although noodles are not my favorite. I do really want to try their hand torn cabbage, it is one of my favorite dishes in general.

WHEN: Friday @11am After grocery shopping across the way at 99 Ranch, we wanted to come here for lunch, but we were an hour early (10am). Luckily they had an "outdoor seating" set up and we were able to hang out until they opened. Parking is easy since this restaurant is located inside the Pacific Mall, so there's plenty of free parking. They do not have thier own restrooms so you'll have to use the mall's restroom which was surprisingly clean. There are plenty of tables inside, and you order from your phone using their QR code. Here's what we had: SOUP PAN FRIED BUNS (6) - $13.99 It's like the best of both worlds, where top half is steamed and bottom half is fried. All the fun textures, flavors with all the soup juiciness inside! Be careful this is hot! So I suggest poke a hole first for the steam to come out before eating. STEAMED SOUP DUMPLINGS (6) - $12.99 Very good as expected: juicy and tasty. SNOWFLACK PAN FRIED DUMPLING (8) - $12.99 These are like gyoza to the next level with the web-like crispy dough that surrounds each dumpling. Inside was juicy and tender filling that was overall delicious. WONTON SOUP (8) - $11.99 Simple, and hits the spot on the cold day. It was good. DAN DAN NOODLES - $14.99 Sour as though there's too much vinegar? I didn't like it. Nor did I like the schezuan numbing spice in it. Not my type of combo/flavoring. Overall this place was fine, and I enjoyed most items for the most part.

Wow. We usually come to this mall for dim sum on Sundays but decided to mix it up. This place is across from the 99 Ranch and usually packed, but this morning it was not. Usually I like to look around and see what other people are eating but today I had to go with my gut. We ended up with the XLB, clear beef noodle soup, beef rolls and spicy wontons and everything was absolutely killer and in large portions. This will probably be my go to XLB spot. They were so juicy and had a nice amount of meat in them. The spicy won tons had a nice floral flavor and just the right amount of numbing spice. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.
